A Day with ASEAN’s Prominent Young CEOs
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Committee for ASEAN Youth Cooperation (CAYC), Malaysia Youth Council (MBM) and International Youth Centre (IYC), in collaboration with The Ministry of Youth and Sports, Malaysia organised an event entitled “A Day with ASEAN’s Prominent Young CEOs” in Malaysia during the end of October 2015.
The aim of the program is to be inspired by the success stories of the young CEOs from the beginning of establishing their company, challenges they faced and the business knowledge sharing for the youth community in the Southeast Asian nation. The program also wishes to inspire more youths to take up the challenge of establishing their own company in their chosen industry.

Three young panelist shared their experience with the audience, the first session attended by Mr Yusno Yunos, CEO of Y Us Sdn Bhd, moderated by Mr Jufitri Joha, Vice President of MYC. Yusno founded his company with an audacious vision to create a comprehensive event ecosystem that involves event planners, participants and suppliers. The enablers are Evenesis (www.evenesis.com), a complete cloud-based end-to-end event management system and Venueville (www.venue-ville.com), the ideal venue deal maker. The company, Y Us was listed as Malaysia’s Top 10 Most Innovative ICT Companies in 2014 by the Top 10 of Malaysia magazine. Evenesis has won multiple awards such as Winner of Malaysia INTEL APEC Start-Up Challenge 2013, Top 15 Companies under the Coach & Grow Programme 2012, two times winner of the MSC Malaysia APICTA Awards in 2013 & 2011 and nominated to be in the list of Asia’s Top 50 Apps.

The second panelist was Mr Mohd Azad Jasmi, Executive Director, TAJ International Collage moderated by Mr Low End Tack, MYC’s Vice President. He shared his 10 years experience in Strategic Partnerships, corporate development and in the Automotive industry that covers retail, network & distribution development, branding, strategic planning, corporate legal framework, research & due diligence, business development, operations and management, mergers & acquisitions, joint venture initiatives and corporate restructuring exercises.He is also responsible in setting up the framework of a global automotive brand distribution network in Malaysia and instrumentally involved in the strategic alliance and partnership between a global car company and national automotive company.

The final Panelist of the day was Mr Fizo Omar this talented celebrity, is no stranger to the Malaysian’s entertainment industry, be it in sports or the silver screen. He shared his ups and downs trough out his journey as entertainer and as entrepreneur. He won several awards such as Emerging Youth Entrepreneur 2014, and also Youth Icon under Ministry Youth and Sports Malaysia. He mentioned “To be successful at a young age, one must make sacrifices. Success doesn’t come overnight or in a neat little package. I’m here today because I sacrificed my teenage years. I practiced hard to be a footballer, looked for opportunities to work whenever possible and didn’t have time to hang-out with friends. But it’s worth it.”
